For the first time ever in the history of Bristol we will (Inshallah) be
broadcasting 24 hours a day, 7 days a week throughout the HAJJ season.

Bristol has an estimated population of 40,000 Muslims. However BMCS & BTIT are not limiting this broadcast to Muslims only, we are aiming to reach a far wider section of the Bristol population with our diverse range of exclusive programming. Promotional material for the station is being distributed to the public, private and voluntary sectors.

Live Broadcasts begin on December 10th 2007 through to January the 6th 2008, on the radio frequency 87.7FM and live online www.hajjfm.com

Radio Hajj will be providing a rare insight into a world-wide event which is the highlight for millions of Muslims from around the globe. We will be broadcasting interviews with BRISTOL PILGRIMS before they begin their journey and arrange live link- ups with them while they are in Saudi Arabia, performing the rituals of Hajj.

Radio Hajj Bristol will offer listeners innovative, interactive, informative and thought- provoking programming. We will be broadcasting hourly news bulletins, current affairs, children's programmes, book serialisation, showcasing Muslim comedians, live celebrity interviews including Imran Khan, Shahid Afridi, Dawud Wharnsby, Sami Yusuf and many more...

PLUS Classic and contemporary music from Muslim cultures around the world, Biography of the Prophet Muhammad (saw), debates & discussions, voxpops, Reciting and memorisation the Qur'an, Women's shows, Teen shows, Stories of the Prophets - ALL WITH ONE PURPOSE : "Demystifying Islam - tackling misconceptions about Islam for Muslims and non-Muslims!"
